Cookfair had an unbelievable rookie season. Unfortunately, he
followed it up with a Sophomore slump. His average dropped
almost by half. He is still a good, patient hitter. He'll draw his fair
share of walks. Yet Josh capped off his disappointing season with a
1 for 17 slump in the playoffs.
Defense
For what he lacked in the batters box in 2009, Josh certainly
made up for in the field. He is an elite fielder. His big frame
allows him to leap high and rob many would-be home runs. With
his defense and quickness, the Angels still have one of the best
outfields in the game.
