Hitting
Though the Pirates organization had its ups and downs, 'Big
Country' has remained a steady offensive machine. He led the
entire league in RBI's last year and was top three in Hr's, walks and
runs scored. He will now play for the Rockies which is arguably the
best team he's ever been on, and not being the ace of the team
may lead to even more productivity at the plate which would be
scary.
Pitching
Although at the moment it seems he may be the Rockies #3 pitcher,
he still should get at least a couple starts and I would be shocked if
he didn't make several relief appearances. He went 2-6 last year
but had leads late against both the Rays and Indians, and did
manage to post 62 K's in 8 starts which was by far the most for the
Pirates.
