Hitting
Matt played about a third of the games for the Yankees last
season and earned a spot for the 2010 squad by impressing
captain Dan LaPlant. Matt only hit .188 but showed a good eye at
the plate and will no doubt improve with a full seasons work.
Defense
Matts a ballplayer who knows the outfield well and understands
when or when not to make a high-risk throw. He can be moved
around to play almost any position defensively whether in the
outfield or the infeld.
